Fellow cyclists,
A number of members of the BCC utilize the Mac Mills trail
network for XC skiing & snowshoeing during the winter months.
We are starting work for the 2009/2010 ski season by beginning
our organized trail clearing this weekend (Oct 17'th / 18'th).
Meet at the Macintosh Mills parking lot (can't say Chalet
anymore :( ) at 9:00am either morning. There is still some work to
do on clearing the debris as a result of the Chalet fire so some
of us will work on that. However, we would like to get all the
West trails cleared this weekend. With many hands this can be
accomplished.
The club has few tools now, so we are going to rely on the
volunteers to bring, handsaws, snippers, etc. We do have access
to 3 chainsaws.
Bring food, water, change of clothes in case of rain and some
energy to get out and have a fun day of hiking/clearing the
trails!
Feel free to 'work' for an hour and then take the family for a
hike.
